Butt-head of the day!

So shortly after my writing a post on Canine Car Safety, I have the displeasure of witnessing a true Butt Head in motion. I was walking through the flats of Beverly Hills with my boys when an idiot drives up in a “vintage” convertible. It was obvious that he thought he was a chick-magnet, and even more obvious that he thought his innocent pooch assisted in the quest. Quite the opposite. His poor Dalmatian basically barked outloud - “My dad is an idiot!” And if he didn’t hear the sound of his own pooch’s thoughts, I was honored to voice the sentiments in English for him. This BUTT-brain had his helpless dog tied with a robe, one end around the base of his steering column and the other…around the dog’s NECK!! Now come on! Do I really need to iterate that ANY restraint or seatbelt used in a vehicle gets connected to the D-ring on the body harness of a dog?! Affixing such a restraint to his collar does nothing more than put your dog’s life in danger of being CHOKED to death every time you hit the breaks fast. Arrgh. While I was pleased to have the opportunity to emasculate this fool on the street, I just wish I had a camera with me so that I could post his mug on the blog for the butt-head hall of fame! Please. Use common sense when it comes to the safety of your loved one.
