Animal Advocate cheated by ABC’s Dancing with the Stars?

pamdancingwithstarsBefore any of my loyal subscribers wonder if I’ve lost my integrity ;) let me justify this post. You all know that I spend all my off-duty time (and then some) dedicated to animal rescue and canine welfare so it shouldn’t be that surprising that I would be thoughtful enough to show some support for another Animal Advocate. Which is what I wanted to do tonight. With an increasing amount of toxic (reality) TV programming, I enjoy leaving the channel tuned to some family friendly shows. Tonight as I sat working on my laptop, with 5 rescues surrounding me on the couch, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” was on in the background. When I noticed Pamela Anderson was up next, I decided to vote. As an actress, living in LA and having a close friend who starred with Anderson on the long-running, syndicated VIP series, I’ve had opportunity to meet Pamela - and she’s a lovely person. More impressive to me though, is Pam’s contributions in the fight against animal cruelty so - I wanted to show her my support and vote. Well much to my surprise, ABC’s phone system rejected me. The recording told me, time and time again, that I reached my “maximum” number of votes…but I hadn’t even voted yet! In fact, I never voted for any one during any season of “DWTS” so - what’s up with that? Makes you wonder if that is the reason Anderson ended up in the bottom two last week. If I was blocked from casting my votes, how many others were? Oh well Pam. Like they say, “it’s a dog eat dog world”. Whatever THAT means…

FYI: my home provider is Vonage so perhaps only Vonage customers were shut out of voting. (?) Still that’s alienating A LOT of people and would-be votes!
